It is brain surgery, there are three techniques that are used, some are less invasive than others. A cure, mmm, im not sure anything in life is guaranteed. Some people have huge symptom reduction, others feel the same, some find they get thier lives back, some get worse a...

I have just found this site: really interesting thanks for flagging this up I had never heard of it. It's fascinating. Psychosurgery Psychosurgery, or neurosurgery, is a surgical procedure which involves destroying microscopic amounts of brain tissue in target areas ...

Thanks for the replies, i hope the infomration that you provided Cheekychic has helped others who hadn't heard of it before! I really would like to find someone who has actually been through it themselves, i have watched programmes on it and i know all about the techniques ...

Hi, Id be fairly sure your chances of bumping into someone who has had surgery remote although when I go out and discuss OCD with people you's bge amazed at the amount of people who open up. It's great! :-) I think you will probably have to ask your consultant to refer...

This isn't something you can just opt for, you have to have tried all the other treatments and them to have failed and even then it has to be the last resort. This is where i am at, i am not suggesting others do the same, plenty of people do get better from ocd without surge...
