I been to my doctor today, He told me by looking at my record I should of received CBT by now on the NHS. He told me it's been 5-6 months when I had my assessment and someone should of contacted me by now. He gave me the number so I'm going to ring the relevant people tod...

Default totally agree!!

hi hun-have been waiting for c.b.t for 7 yrs!!! when i fianlly got my therapy thru from the maudsley hospital-they gave me the wrong therapy-u know wot my therapist said about ocd checks??? dont do it!!!!!!!!!!!!! a man thats earning thousands a year!!!!...

Default Same here

I didnt receive the right CBT and the therapist who done my CBT told me is was my thought because i was not trying hard enough to help myself combat my obsession and compulsions. I left in tears and I was going to make a complaint but i left it....

Default Always ask.

Ensure from the start you ask your therapist why you are here. Ask them what they hope to achieve out of these sessions. You and your therapist should be readying from the same book and make sure you both are on the same track....

What are people's thoughts on counselling/CBT or any other type of therapy? I hear such a mixed reaction and, although having had counselling in my teens, I wonder is it worth having counselling again or is it something that somehow I need to sort out for myself?...

Default I had therapy and i wont go back

I've had all the therapy on offer and i still feel I'm not achieving results. I did have the sessions on the NHS and in private costing me hundreds of pounds but for some people therapy is not the answer nor is medication but at least the medication I'm on is helping me. ...

Hi Sally, Thanks for the response. It is really helpful to get vies on the subject. I have had two lots of therapy sessions which lasted for over a few months. One with a councellor another with an occupational therapist. Is it time for me to say no one can help me except my...
